What keeps playing
With background playback enabled the audio continues after you leave the app or turn the screen off on supported sources. The video resumes where you left it when you come back.
Stay in control
Playback controls remain available from the notification and the lock screen: play, pause, next track depending on the source. Child mode and private sessions are excluded from background playback.
Why it matters
Video podcasts, concerts, interviews, playlists: anything you listen to works without keeping the screen lit, which also uses less battery than a screen left on.
